    Today, Monday, the National Retirement Authority announced a series of procedures to facilitate retirees’ transactions, while confirming that the end-of-service gratuity is paid 48 hours after the first retirement salary.
    The head of the authority, Maher Hussein Rashid, said in an interview with the Iraqi News Agency, followed by Al-Eqtisad News, that “the authority worked to take a series of measures to facilitate the procedures for employees who were recently referred for retirement, as we opened a retirement office in every ministry.”
    He added, "The Authority began opening offices in large ministries, including health, industry, minerals, education, higher education, and other large ministries, and then began opening offices in all state institutions," stressing, "the opening of more than 30 retirement offices in state institutions to provide retirement services." .
    He pointed out, "The retirement departments and divisions in government institutions were trained, and we completed the procedures for retirees, as well as issuing retirement IDs at the specified times, before the dissolution," indicating that "these procedures facilitated our work and reduced momentum."
    Rashid confirmed, “More than 50,000 retirement IDs were completed within ministries and entities not affiliated with a ministry, and the end-of-service rewards were disbursed from February until now.”
    He continued, "When the retiree receives his first pension, after 48 hours, his end-of-service gratuity is disbursed to him via the electronic payment card. Consequently, the retiree’s suffering in organizing and completing the pension file, issuing the retirement ID, and disbursing the salary and end-of-service gratuity has become a thing of the past."
    He pointed out that "the Authority seeks to complete all available procedures to facilitate pension transactions, but the remaining problems will be addressed until the instructions are completed."
