    Economy News - follow-up
An OPEC+ delegate told Reuters on Thursday that Brazil is expected to join the OPEC+ alliance as of January .
OPEC+ includes OPEC countries and non-OPEC producers, led by Russia .
In a related context, two sources participating in the OPEC+ talks told Reuters that the group of oil-producing countries had reached a consensus on crude production cuts.
The committee held its meeting before a broader meeting of ministers of the OPEC+ group of oil-producing countries scheduled for Thursday .
Oil prices rose more than 1 percent today, Thursday, in anticipation of the outcome of the OPEC+ coalition meeting, which may include further supply cuts in 2024 on its agenda .
