[rtl]Basra / NINA / Minister of Industry and Minerals Khaled Battal Al-Najm stressed that "our sixth visit indicates the importance of the governorate and the ministry's companies in the governorate in the work of the ministry.
He said during a press conference in Basra, "The ministry's commitment to providing fertilizers to farmers with the start of the agricultural season in December and beyond, pointing to the continuation of procedures and steps to start establishing and operating the Abu Al-Khaseeb factory for the production of urea fertilizer after signing the participation contract within the outcomes of the qualitative conferences held by the ministry to revive the factory after a hiatus of more than thirty years.
The Minister pointed out that the visit program will include following up on the progress of work and the final stages of operating the steel factory and continuing work in the rolling mill to produce reinforcing steel and meet market needs, indicating that "the visit will also include following up on the legal procedures for signing the participation contract to implement the sponge iron project and the procedures for implementing the iron and steel industrial city, which will create a qualitative leap for heavy industries at the level of Iraq, in addition to holding direct meetings with industrialists and other activities.
The Minister of Industry and Minerals, Khaled Battal Al-Najm, closely followed up on the progress of the production process in the DAP and urea fertilizer production plants affiliated with the General Company for the Southern Fertilizer Industry, during his first field tours in the ministry's companies in the governorate. / End
