    Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ahmed Al-Asadi announced today, Tuesday, the allocation of 25% of the Small and Medium Enterprises Fund for people with disabilities.

    A statement by the ministry received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "on the occasion of the annual anniversary of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities and Special Needs, which was held by the Gathering of Disabled Persons in Iraq, in the presence of Mr. Ammar Al-Hakim, a number of parliamentary figures, and representatives of international organizations and civil society, Al-Asadi renewed "the ministry's commitment to promoting the rights of persons with disabilities and special needs, and working to provide a comprehensive environment that supports their empowerment and active participation in society."
    Al-Asadi added that "the Ministry of Labor pays great attention to persons with disabilities based on its belief that this group is not just a part of society, but a source of inspiration and creativity that must be invested in to drive the wheel of development," explaining that "the ministry, through the Disability Rights Commission, has worked over the past year to improve procedures to facilitate the rights of persons with disabilities, by developing rehabilitation and training programs aimed at integrating them into the labor market, in addition to providing the necessary support in the fields of health, education and social services to ensure a decent and stable life for them and their families." 
    Al-Asadi praised "all groups and non-governmental organizations that support the segment of persons with disabilities who cooperate and communicate With the concerned authorities and others to raise the efficiency of services provided to this segment and remove the obstacles they face. 
    Al-Asadi congratulated "the wounded fighters, the families of the martyrs and the Iraqi people on the great victory day over the terrorist ISIS gangs," indicating that "if it were not for the blessed fatwa of the supreme authority, Sayyid Ali al-Sistani, and the response to the call by the fighters from the sons of the Popular Mobilization Forces and the authentic Iraqi tribes, this victory would not have been in this form," praising "the initiative of Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, which he launched during the annual carnival regarding the comprehensive empowerment of people with disabilities, which included: 
    - Allocating 25% of the Small and Medium Enterprises Fund for people with disabilities.
    - Providing housing units in national projects with exceptional facilities for this segment.
    - Establishing specialized business incubators in each governorate for this segment.
    - Providing tax exemptions for companies that support people with disabilities.
    - Establishing a specialized bank for easy financing for people with disabilities.
    - Establishing specialized vocational training centers for this segment.[/size]
