Minister of Transport, Razak Muhaibis Al-Saadawi, revealed new details regarding the International Development Road project.
Al-Sadawi said in an interview with the official newspaper, "The Ministry of Transport has completed the initial design phase of the project, with its two tracks, land and rail, by (100) percent, in addition to the topographic surveys and soil investigations, in full, and we have now begun the final design phase, which differs from its predecessor in terms of the determinants; that is, it targets the existing structures as well as some points specific to the project, such as bridges, buildings, stations, and others."
He pointed out that "the year (2025) will witness the completion of the detailed design phase, then the transition to presenting the project to major international companies, to compete for promising investment opportunities in this project, in a way that serves the interests of Iraq." End/25
