    Shafaq News / Hundreds of people protested in Saturday in 12 provinces in the center, south and west of the country, demanding to cancel the pensions of MPs, the three presidencies, ministers special grades and members of local government councils, while the head of al- Iraqiya List, Iyad Allawi called Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki to leave his position if he felt "afraid" from the demands of the demonstrators

    Hundreds of people demonstrated in each of Baghdad, Basra, Maysan, Najaf, Babel, Diwaniyah, Anbar, Nineveh, Karbala, Diyala , Kirkuk and Dhi Qar provinces, according to “Shafaq News” reporter.

    Civilian activists in Baghdad told “Shafaq News” that they will convert their demonstrations place from Tahrer and Ferdous squares to the center of the capital, pointing that some were hit after besieging and cordoning off the area by security forces.
    According to activists in Dhi -Qar “the security forces used water cannons, tear gas and hit demonstrators”.

    For his part, the Head of al- Iraqiya list , Iyad Allawi Tweeted on the social networking site “Twitter” briefed by “Shafaq News”, that “If the commander in chief of the armed forces felt afraid from the legitimate demands of young people then he should leave his position for the one who is more able to manage the country”.
