WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States is ready to use its "full range" of military capabilities to defend itself and its allies against any provocation from North Korea, US Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Joseph Danford told his counterparts in South Korea on Monday.
Danford visits South Korea, Japan and China, a week after US President Donald Trump exchanged threats with North Korea.
Trump said earlier that the US military was "on standby" to unleash its anger if Pyongyang continued to threaten the United States.
North Korea has threatened to launch four medium-range missiles in waters close to Guam, a small US island about 3,200 kilometers from Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea.
Danfod told reporters accompanying him on his Asian tour earlier that he was targeting "the pulse of the region."
