The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, based in London, said on Thursday that the Syrian city of Raqqa was free of terrorists and that the announcement of its control was linked to the end of the survey.
The observatory quoted credible sources as saying that a presence had ended in the city of Raqqa, its main stronghold in Syria, after about 3,100 civilians and fighters were killed in the operation launched by Syria's democratic forces backed by the US-led coalition.
The sources confirmed that the remaining elements of Daqash are still hidden in the cellars and shelters of the area stretching from the municipal stadium and air intelligence in the center of the city of Al-Rigga.
This comes 108 days after the start of the battle of Raqqa major announced on the sixth of June, which targeted the expulsion of the organization completely from the city and control by the forces of operation [anger of the Euphrates] led by the Syrian Democratic forces supported by US special forces.
The Observatory added that the Syrian Democratic Forces and the US special forces began combing the entire city, where the density of mines planted by the army has been hampered by the rapid end of the operation and the extensive destruction of more than 80 percent of the city.
