The ministerial meeting of the Kuwait International Conference for the Reconstruction of Iraq, which will be held in Kuwait from February 12 to 14, will start on Wednesday with ambitious aspirations to make a positive contribution to Iraq's reconstruction.
The meeting, which is being held under the patronage and presence of the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, is attended by a number of major donor countries and a number of international and regional organizations in order to collect contributions and assistance for the reconstruction of Iraq following the wars and conflicts affected by many provinces and regions.
The meeting will be attended by Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, EU High Commissioner Federica Mugrini and World Bank Group President.
The Iraqi delegation participating in the activities of the meeting will have a agenda related to three main axes: reconstruction, investment development, support for stability in the country, promotion of peaceful coexistence among different sectors of Iraqi society and national reconciliation.
The meeting is expected to discuss the damage caused by the war and the need to address it, as well as projects to support stability, reconciliation and peaceful coexistence and discuss the procedures for creating an appropriate environment for investment in about 212 projects in all sectors of the Iraqi economy, including projects in Kurdistan before the end of the meeting by announcing support Will be offered by the participating countries for the reconstruction of Iraq.
The Kuwait International Conference on Iraq Reconstruction, chaired by five parties - the European Union, Iraq, Kuwait, the United Nations and the World Bank - reflects Kuwait's belief in the importance of Iraq's stability and prosperity as an important and influential country, especially in the current circumstances.
The conference will be held after the declaration of Iraq victory over the loss of the war and the loss of human and material losses as Iraq is working to rebuild areas of conflict and the development of humanitarian projects to care for victims of war and rehabilitation of infrastructure in the country.
The conference was accompanied by three conferences, the first is the (reconstruction of Iraq), which is holding its main meeting today and presented in its meetings details of documents on direct and indirect damage and the efforts required to improve the economic and service situation in the presence of hundreds of international experts and representatives of ministries and related parties.
