Qatar plans to buy a stake in Moscow's Fnukovo International Airport
Qatar Airways will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Moscow's Fnukovo Airport, which will allow it to purchase shares at the Russian international airport, Qatar's Foreign Ministry said.
"A memorandum of understanding (MoU) will be signed between Qatar Airways and Fnukovo International Airport for the possible acquisition of a stake in Fnukovo airport," the Qatari foreign ministry said.
The Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad, arrived in Moscow on Sunday evening at the head of a large delegation of ministers and officials on a working visit to discuss with Russian President Vladimir Putin a number of regional issues and joint cooperation between the two countries.
The Qatari-Russian relations are constantly developing in various fields. The visit of the emir of the State of Qatar to Russia in 2016 and his meeting with President Putin gave a strong impetus to the development of bilateral relations, which began since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1988.
