[Asharq Al-Awsat] The government of Adel Abdul Mahdi in Iraq is still in place, under the objections of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, the names of the candidates for the remaining eight ministries, most notably the interior and defense.
Perhaps the name of Faleh al-Fayadh is among the rejected candidates, especially as it is calculated on the wing of the leader of the coalition "State of Law" Nuri al-Maliki, and the leader of the "Construction Alliance" Hadi al-Amiri.
Sadr's leader, Moqtada al-Sadr, objected to Fayadh's nomination for interior minister. He also objected to the candidature of Dr. Saba al-Ta'i as minister of education. She is the candidate for the Arab project led by Khamis al-Khanjar.
The names of eight ministers continue to be debated. While the Sassoon Alliance insists on preventing the use of former officials, Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi insists that all candidates are technocrats. However, these names are able to lead the ministries.
While observers see that the dispute between Sadr and Maliki, is actually hampering the naming of the remaining ministers in the government of Adel Abdul Mahdi, in the light of the objection of Sadr to former officials on suspicion of corruption on the one hand, and the threat of Maliki's followers in parliament to monitor the performance of the government Adel Abdul Mahdi, on the one hand Other, in reference to the concerns of Maliki's wing of the alignment of Adel Mahdi with Sadr.
It is noteworthy that members of the building block, which includes most factions of the popular crowd, threatened earlier Tuesday to name former head of the crowd Faleh al-Fayadh Interior Minister by majority in case not agreed upon by the blocs and continued continuation of the alliance led by Moqtada al-Sadr refused to take over the post.
While Iraqi sources reported that the official of the Iraqi file in the Lebanese Hezbollah, Mohammed al-Kawtharani, is pressing the Iraqi blocs to pass the nomination of Faleh al-Fayadh as interior minister.
