A member of the Security and Defense Committee, Abbas Sarut, on Tuesday, submitted a request to the Presidency of the House of Representatives to include the law to remove foreign forces on the agenda of the meetings of the Council.
"A number of deputies have worked during the last period to collect parliamentary signatures to present the draft of the removal of foreign troops from the country," Sarwat said in a statement to Al-Mawlama. "A number of MPs have applied to the presidency to include the law on the agenda of future meetings."
He also suggested that "the presence of these forces is a violation of Iraqi sovereignty."
