Minister of Electricity: We are making extraordinary efforts to satisfy the citizens in the summer

Minister of Electricity Luay al-Khatib said that the cadres of his ministry are making extraordinary efforts to satisfy citizens in securing electricity during the summer.
The ministry said in a statement received by "Economy News" a copy of it, Khatib "discussed with the Chairman of the Committee on oil and energy and natural resources parliamentary, Karim Aftan Jumaili, the reality of the electrical power system, and preparations for the Ministry for the months of next summer."
During the meeting, Al-Khatib confirmed that the ministry "is making extraordinary efforts to implement rehabilitation and maintenance programs for the three sectors of production, transport and distribution, in order to meet the demand and satisfaction of citizens in the summer months."
For his part, said MP Jumaili, (former electricity minister) that "the House of Representatives represented by the Committee of Oil and Energy, a joint goal with the Ministry of Electricity to provide the best services to citizens, as well as to assign the work of the Ministry in the issuance of legislation that serve the work of the energy sector in general and electricity on the face In particular, that the work of the Ministry of Electricity is not only complete coordination and cooperation with other ministries, and provincial councils, the legislative authority and the decisions of the executive authority.
Al-Jumaili also met with the ministry's advanced agents, including the agents and general managers, and discussed with them the provisions of the plan of the ministry in preparation for the coming summer months and obstacles facing the ministry's work in order to overcome them to reach the desired goal and reach self-sufficiency and solve the electricity crisis in the country.
