{Locality: Al-Furat News} A member of the Human Rights Commission in Iraq, Fadel Al-Gharawi, confirmed that the upcoming elections will face 3 challenges.
In a statement, Al-Furat News received a copy, Al-Gharawi said, "Elections are considered political and democratic rights that must be exercised without any pressure, threats or extortion of votes."
He added, "Electoral security will be the main pillar for the success of the electoral process. Therefore, forcing participation and threats between political forces, as well as for the voter, and the presence of money and political weapons, will be the most prominent challenges and violations in front of real electoral security."
Al-Gharawi called for "the government, the election commission and all political forces to strive to fulfill the requirements of electoral security and to create a climate for citizens to exercise their right to elections without any pressures or threats that may cause him to refrain from participating."
