[size=45]Yesterday, Monday, the Parliamentary Finance Committee revealed the formation of a committee in the Ministry of Finance to prepare a draft budget law for 2022. The committee’s rapporteur, Ahmed Al-Saffar, said in an interview with (Al-Mada),[/size]
[size=45]"The central government has formed a committee in the Ministry of Finance in order to prepare the draft budget law for the next year since last month." Al-Saffar added, "It is expected that the draft budget law will be completed in mid-October, but the fate of its passage is linked to the elections." Al-Saffar pointed out that "the upcoming elections will be the obstacle to passing the bill in the House of Representatives, because once the polls are over, parliament will be dissolved and a new one formed." He continued, "In the event of postponing the elections, the House of Representatives will work through the Finance Committee to prepare the budget for voting directly after receiving it from the government." The House of Representatives voted to pass the general budget law, last March, and also voted to dissolve itself on October 7, 2021, with the elections to be held on October 10, 2021.[/size]
