    {Economic: Al Furat News} Omar Al-Waeli, head of the Border Ports Authority, chaired the thirteenth meeting of the Customs and Border Ports Project Team, which was held at the authority's headquarters via closed circuit television.
    A statement by the outlets, which the agency {Euphrates News} received a copy of, stated that "the Vice President of the Border Ports Authority, who recently took over the position, was hosted to inform him of the details of the team's work, and the agenda was discussed, which resulted in the following recommendations:
    1 - The General Authority of Customs should submit an official report on Updates of the Skoda program that was made through the contract of the Ministry of Finance with UNCTAD and the latest developments 
    2- Forming a technical team from the ports, customs, the Central Bureau of Statistics and the General Company for Iraqi Fairs to study the data of the coordinator code and the possibility of modifying it in order to enable the Central Statistical Organization to ensure obtaining accurate data and statistics on Quantity of import and export materials 
    3- Forming a technical team from ports and customs to study the obstacles and observations related to the customs link program for the purpose of addressing them. 
    4- Emphasis on the customs centers to work according to the electronic platform prepared by the authorities of the ports, and to take one of the border ports as a model. 
    5- All those gathered agreed on the need to control the file of duty-free materials, and the General Company for Iraqi Fairs was assigned to submit a study on the procedures required by the departments granting exemptions in order to issue import licenses for exempt materials within the import licensing program after submitting all official documents to prevent fraud or forgery operations.
