The Border Ports Authority announced, today, Thursday, the activation of a program for exempted goods in the Directorate of Air Cargo Customs.
The authority stated in a statement, "After activating the exempted goods program for the Central Region Customs Directorate and its associated customs centers, as well as the Western Region Customs Directorate, the Border Ports Authority, under the direct direction of its Chairman Omar Al-Waeli, began activating the exempted goods program in the Air Cargo Customs Directorate."
She added, "This program is considered a new transition for the processes of validating the issuance of documents and downloading quantities of exempted goods, to reduce forgery and manipulation, and this step comes from the Border Ports Authority's keenness to automate the administrative procedures of the departments operating at border ports."
