{Umniah: Al Furat News} The Ministry of Interior has warned its members against insulting the security and military establishment on social media.
The ministry's spokesman, Major General Khaled Al-Muhanna, told {Euphrates News}: "We always call on citizens not to deal with rumors in cases that cause offense to the security establishment, especially from some of the affiliates who behave in this behavior, and it is certain that they will be subject to the legal issue if it is proven that he was present and transgressed." on such social media sites.
He pointed out, "We always warn citizens of the consequences of misusing social media, as it has begun to be abusive with cases of electronic bullying, and this is a general problem facing society in general."
And between Al-Muhanna: “Many people publish cultural, artistic, or a certain nature publications, and they are surprised by a massive torrent of insults, threats and incitement against them. Therefore, the law guarantees the rights of the citizen, and there are legal articles that are held accountable for the subject of publication. As for what threatens security, there will be prosecution and follow-up as well.”
The Director of the Rumors Control Department at the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier Nibras Muhammad Ali, had identified three categories that work permanently to spread rumors that affect the reputation of the country and its people, stressing the work on the "community intelligence" project.
