    {Political: Al Furat News} The dismissal of legal expert Ali Al-Tamimi, the first session of the new House of Representatives scheduled for the ninth of next January.
    Al-Tamimi told {Euphrates News}: "The session is held under the chairmanship of the eldest member, where the 329 deputies take the constitutional oath in accordance with Article 50 of the Constitution before the President of the Supreme Judicial Council."
    He added, "In the session, the parliament speaker and his two deputies are elected by direct secret ballot and an absolute majority, that is, half of the total number plus one."
    Al-Tamimi stressed that "the session cannot remain open in accordance with Federal Court Decision 55 of 2010, but what has been presented in it must be resolved."
    He pointed out that "after the election of the Speaker and his deputy by direct secret ballot, he takes the podium and invites the new parliament speaker to nominate for the position of the President of the Republic, provided that the new President of the Republic is elected within 30 days of the first session by a two-thirds majority in the first round and a majority of votes in the second round in accordance with Articles 70 and 72 of the constitution.
    Al-Tamimi indicated, "It is possible to postpone the first session, when necessary, for days and not keep it open according to Article 22 of the Parliament's internal system."
    The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, announced today, Thursday, that he had signed the republican decree to invite the new parliament to convene on Sunday, January 9.
    It is noteworthy that the Federal Supreme Court, has ratified last Monday on the results of the early parliamentary elections that took place on the tenth of last October after responding to the appeal submitted against the results.
