    [size=45]On Sunday, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein confirmed that Baghdad will make all efforts and invest its relations to hold a new round of talks between Iranian and Saudi officials and to restore relations between the two countries to normal.[/size]
    [size=45]The Iraqi Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Minister Fouad Hussein had made a phone call with his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan, during which they discussed the reasons for the delay in holding the fifth round of Saudi-Iranian talks, and views were exchanged in this regard.[/size]
    [size=45]Hussein indicated that the Iraqi government will make every effort and invest all its relations in order to create a suitable opportunity for understandings between Tehran and Riyadh.[/size]
    [size=45]The statement explained that the two sides discussed bilateral relations, cooperation and joint coordination in the field of supporting the two sides' candidates in international organizations.[/size]
    [size=45]In another context, the tense situation in the Gulf and the need to find ways to remove danger from the region and create a state of stability and security were discussed, according to the statement.[/size]
    [size=45]Hussein affirmed the Iraqi government's readiness to play a pivotal role in this field. At the conclusion of the talks, the two ministers stressed the need for continued communication during this sensitive period in the history of the region.[/size]
    [size=45]And on Sunday, the Iranian “Fars” news agency reported that Iraq and Iran discussed preparations for the fifth round of Iranian-Saudi talks.[/size]
    [size=45]Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi said in a telephone conversation with Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi: "Iran is ready to continue these negotiations until reaching a result, provided that the Saudis are ready to continue negotiations in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and respect."[/size]
    [size=45]Baghdad hosted 4 rounds of direct talks between Saudi and Iranian officials, focusing on the contentious points, most notably the Yemen war and the Iranian nuclear program.[/size]
    [size=45]The two sides discussed "Iraqi, Saudi and Iranian tripartite cooperation, in order to start the fifth round of talks, without specifying a date for its convening."[/size]
