[size=45]On Thursday, the Ministry of Electricity issued a clarification of what was published on social media about the installation of an energy transmission tower that entered a residential area in the Sabaa Qusour area in Baghdad.[/size]
[size=45]The ministry's spokesman, Ahmed Musa, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the place of erecting this tower is correct, and it is not new, but it was previously erected according to the controls of distance and proximity to the network."[/size]
[size=45]He added, "The houses close to the tower are the ones that bypass the street and the taboos of the tower, as this area does not contain any sidewalk," noting that "the people of this area are aware of the transgression on the power lines."[/size]
[size=45]He continued, "Whoever promotes that the tower is irregular in the middle of a street, it is incorrect and comes out of incitement."[/size]
[size=45]Activists on social networking sites, Facebook, circulated a video clip showing the wheels passing under a high-pressure power transmission tower near residential houses in the Sabaa Qusour area of the capital, Baghdad.[/size]
