The leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Union, Ghiath Surji, confirmed today, Tuesday, their position rejecting any candidate for a settlement for the presidency.
In an exclusive interview with Mawazine News, Sorji said, "The Union rejected the settlement candidate, as well as its rejection of other positions in exchange for the presidency or mediation of this kind."
He pointed out that "the leadership of the Union in Sulaymaniyah did not address the acceptance of any such proposal."
