Iraq is the third largest oil exporter to the Chinese government in a month
Shafaq News/ Data from the General Administration of Chinese Customs showed today, Monday, that Iraq became the third largest exporter of oil to government refineries during the month of May of 2022.
The administration said in its schedule, seen by Shafak News Agency, that "Iraq exported 4.687 million tons of oil to the Chinese government refineries during the month of May of the current year 2022, equivalent to 34.215 million barrels, and the equivalent of 1.103 million barrels per day," indicating that these " Exports rose by 4.5 percent over the same period last year and increased by 14 percent from last April, when exports amounted to 4.090 million metric tons, equivalent to 29.857 million barrels.
And she added, "Russia ranked first as the largest supplier of crude to China in May 2022, displacing Saudi Arabia, which has topped over the past months, bringing its exports to China 8.42 million tons, equivalent to 61.466 million barrels, and then Saudi Arabia came second, with its exports to China reaching 7.82 million tons, or The equivalent of 57,086 million barrels.
According to the table, "the UAE came fourth, with exports of 4.09 million, equivalent to 29.857 million barrels, and Oman came fifth, with exports amounting to 3.977 million tons, equivalent to 29.032 million barrels."
And she noted that "China's total imports of crude oil rose by about 12 percent in May to 10.8 million barrels per day, compared to an average of 10.3 million barrels per day in 2021."
