    It is expected that "the size of the Iraqi market of mobile phones annually between Chinese, Korean and American devices is about 3 million phones, and the total value of these phones is about 600 million US dollars." According to al-Abidi

All phones and their spare materials, which are no less valuable than telephone devices, are transported through the region’s airports (the airports of Erbil and Sulaymaniyah), as well as all the customs of these devices go to the region, knowing that the customs tariff law indicates that the percentage of customs on Communications devices are about 15%, meaning that the value of the customs “imposed” on the devices entering during the year is about 90 million dollars, which is equivalent to 130 billion Iraqi dinars, of which not a single dinar enters the Iraqi customs authority.”
    He pointed out that "Chinese devices began to take up a large part of the Iraqi market and compete strongly with phones of Korean companies, specifically Samsung and Apple phones, and brands began to take up a large area of ​​the Iraqi market."
