revealed that the Iranian-Iraqi Chamber of Commerce revealed that the country's exports to Iraq amounted to about $4 billion in goods in the first 7 months of the current fiscal year (the period from March 21 to October 20, 2022).
Hamid Hosseini, a member of the Board of Directors of the Iranian-Iraqi Chamber of Commerce, said, "Reports indicate a steady increase in Iranian exports through land outlets with Iraq," explaining that "the country's exports to Iraq have exceeded the monthly average of $600 million in the seventh month of the current fiscal year ending." On October 20, 2022, it amounted to $647 million, up from the level of $420 million achieved in the previous month.
Hosseini expressed his expectations that "the monthly export average will reach an increase between 750 to 800 million dollars in the coming months, and that the first half of the fiscal year (March 20 to September 20, 2022) will compensate for the decline in the first half," adding: "The anticipation of the formation of the government The new trade relations, the slowdown in intra-trade relations in the days of the Arbaeen visit, and Iran's cancellation of the official exchange rate for basic commodities are among the factors that affected the decline in exports to Iraq.
