Government official: The return of the rise in dollar prices due to the end of "rumors" of speculators
Shafaq News/ A government official confirmed, on Sunday, that the rise in dollar prices again is due to the end of rumors and assurances of the Central Bank.
The official said in an interview with Shafaq News agency; "The end of the rumors circulated by some speculators and dollar traders regarding the government's endeavor to reduce dollar prices, as well as the central bank's assurances of fixing the exchange rate in order to perpetuate the stability of the Iraqi market, which led to a gradual rise in the price of the dollar during the past days."
The official, who preferred not to be named, added; That "any adjustment to the dollar exchange rate within the budget policy that is being prepared for the year 2023 has not been addressed yet," pointing out that "any change in the exchange rate needs study and pressure in operating expenses and diversification of the economy, which cannot be initiated at the present time." ".
