Yesterday, Tuesday, the Ministry of Electricity announced the setting of time limits for dealing with the energy file, while identifying five advantages for electronic taxation, stressing that the project will take on an investment character and will not cost the state financial allocations.
The media center of the Ministry of Electricity said, in a statement received by (Al-Mada), that “the Minister of Electricity, Ziyad Ali Fadel, chaired intensive and continuous meetings of operating rooms to discuss emergency plans to keep pace with the peak of winter loads and next summer loads for the northern regions and the middle Euphrates and for all sectors of production, transportation and distribution.”
The statement indicated that the minister reviewed during the meetings the great task of addressing the electricity file, and the commitment before the esteemed Council of Ministers to real and realistic solutions and time ceilings, which are tangibly reflected in the service reality of citizens.
And he added, “All formation managers must keep pace with our approved plans, and everyone must commit to implementing them, and there will be an evaluation based on what is achieved, and we should make sure that our file is service par excellence that is not concerned with any other side matters that affect service performance.”
For his part, the ministry’s spokesman, Ahmed Musa, said, in a statement received by the official news agency and followed by (Al-Mada), that “the Ministry of Electricity held many meetings on electronic taxation projects, electronic transformation and automation, and presented extensive studies that include a comprehensive vision after reviewing international specifications and the experience of neighboring countries.” In Iran, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and even in the Kurdistan region, to the Council of Ministers in order to discuss it in the previous government.
Moussa continued, "The project was supposed to be on the agenda of the previous cabinet, in order to fully discuss it and vote on it to obtain a decision to proceed with it, but it was postponed to the new government," explaining, "We are awaiting discussion in the council's periodic meetings and voting on it, to proceed with it." ". He added that "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani and the Minister of Electricity are very interested in completing the electronic taxation project and proceeding with it," noting that "after submitting bids and technical studies, time ceilings will be determined for the completion of the project."
Musa explained that "electronic transformation and comprehensive electronic collection projects require the installation of smart systems, in addition to the installation of (Hyss) systems and smart meter systems."
Moussa pointed out that “the electronic transfer of collection will work to provide services to informal or informal agricultural areas, so the regular service will be provided to rehabilitate the distribution networks appropriately, after it was not available under the law.”
He emphasized, "Installing the meters will work to reduce consumption and control the returns of the energy produced, and make it sufficient for the benefit of processing hours, in addition to that it will maximize collection resources and reduce losses, and thus the ministry can, through this project, control loads."
Moussa stated that “electronic collection prices will be the same as those provided with government support, so there will be no increase in prices, which will benefit citizens with medium and limited incomes, and will preserve the capabilities and values of energy.”
He pointed out that “the project does not need financial allocations, because it will be referred to solid investment companies after submitting their technical studies and economic schedules, and they are carefully studied by the ministry, and then submitted to the Ministerial Energy Council, and then to the Council of Ministers for approval.”
Moussa stated, "The project will take on an investment character, and will not cost the state any financial allocations."
And he talked about certain obligations on the contracting companies, including the rehabilitation of distribution networks and the provision of service in a regular manner, and therefore there are certain obligations for the two parties, which are the ministry and the contracting parties.
Moussa stressed "the importance of proceeding with the electronic taxation project, in order to control the values and capabilities of energy."
Moussa went on to say that "all countries of the world are working on the electronic transformation and electronic collection project, and therefore the project should proceed."
