    Today, Wednesday, the Integrity Commission revealed the use of state resources and mechanisms in a project that is being implemented in a direct implementation manner, with an estimated value of (3.5) billion dinars, in addition to cases of waste of public money and manipulation in a number of departments in Diyala Governorate. 
    A statement by the Commission's Investigation Department, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the control operation carried out by the staff of the Commission's investigation office in Diyala, using mechanisms belonging to the state in the implementation of the project of expanding Kanaan Street in a direct implementation manner, at a value of (3,422,929,575) dinars. Referring to "the seizure of vehicles belonging to the municipality of the district and the Diyala Electricity Distribution Company with their drivers, for their work within the project, and the disbursement of fuel to the vehicles at the expense of the two departments."
    He explained, "The team of the Investigation and Control Division in the office moved to the Diyala Governorate Office and seized the original project's priorities, which included the governorate hiring mechanisms to carry out the project's work, detailing the costs for each of its paragraphs. " 
    The statement added, "At the Mandali border crossing, the office team assigned to follow up the work of the National Insurance Company monitored cases of waste of public money during the past month of September, amounting to (150,000,000) dinars, due to the company's failure to collect the insurance amounts for the entering foreign wheels, in addition to the failure of the director of The executive took the necessary measures to preserve public money, as the process also resulted in controlling the origin of the annuals of foreign wheels and “investments entering and leaving Iraqi lands without collecting fees for the state treasury.
    And he continued, "(9) customs transactions were seized at the Mandali Customs Center. The weights of the loads were manipulated and reduced by one of the center's employees, in return for sums of money paid to him for each transaction, which caused a waste of public money.”
