Integrity controls waste of public money and manipulation in Muthanna departments

Yesterday, Saturday, the Investigation Department of the Integrity Commission revealed that it had carried out (5) operations to control waste of public money, manipulation, and violations in the Investment, Municipality, and Real Estate Registration Commission in Muthanna.
And the department stated in a statement that “the team of the Muthanna Investigation Office was able, after investigation and audit, to reveal that an investment license was granted for a fictitious project at a cost of (297,900) US dollars,” indicating that “a license was granted for an investment hatchery project and it enjoyed the privileges of an investment license, without The Investment Authority in the province, with the on-site inspection of the project. She added, "The team carried out (3) separate control operations in the Directorate of Municipality of Samawah, during the first operation, two transactions of a Musataha contract were seized for two properties that the municipality rented at a price lower than the price established in the controls, which caused damage to public money amounting to (250, 353, 425) million dinars, while in the second operation, an accused of following up transactions in flagrante delicto was seized without an official power of attorney or legal capacity, his statements were duly recorded, and he was presented to the competent investigating judge who decided to arrest him.
