    Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Commerce announced the purchase of 150,000 tons of US and Australian wheat for the ration card account and to boost the national stock of this basic food crop.
    The Director General of the General Company for Grain Trade in the Ministry, Haider Nuri, said in a statement received by "Al-Iqtisad News", that "the company has contracted with American and Australian companies to secure the purchase of 100,000 tons of Australian wheat, and 50,000 of American wheat as part of its contracts to secure the ration card storage." ".
    He pointed out that the ministry continues to secure the supply of other quantities to secure a national stock of wheat and from international origins for the account of the ration card.
    He stressed that "the status of the card is reassuring, with the continued flow of imported wheat to the country and the supply of mills with the prescribed quotas of wheat non-stop to meet the actual need of the material."
