Today, Monday, the Sudanese Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a, stressed the need to speed up reaching the stage of stopping the burning of associated gas, stressing the importance of investing it.
The media office of the Prime Minister said, in a statement received by the National News Center, that “Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a al-Sudani chaired, this morning, a meeting that included the Minister of Oil and a number of officials in the ministry, devoted to following up the progress of work in the implementation of oil strategic projects.”
Al-Sudani stressed “the importance of proceeding with projects related to providing water to inject productive oil wells and raising their production capacity.”
The statement stated that "the meeting witnessed a review of the progress of work in associated gas investment projects, where Al-Sudani stressed" the necessity of accelerating reaching the stage of stopping flaring and investing this wealth, as well as developing mechanisms to raise the production capacity of natural gas.
