Parliament member Briar Rashid said, on Wednesday, that the Central Bank is still selling the dollar at the official rate, to travelers, but there are no current intentions to sell the dollar at the official rate to all citizens.

Rashid mentioned in a statement that “NAS” received a copy of it (March 29, 2023), that “after publishing a letter from the Central Bank and a wrong interpretation of the letter, we had a short time ago a telephone conversation with the governor of the Central Bank and he assured us that the Central Bank will continue to sell the dollar at official prices for the purpose of travel.” treatment and study costs.
He continued, "Except for the reasons mentioned above, the central bank has no intention at the present time to sell the dollar at the official rate to citizens."
