In an interview with Al-Maalouma agency, Arab said, "The Social Security Law is one of the important laws, and 52 years have passed since its enactment, and it does not meet the requirements of the Iraqi street, especially the private sector."
He added, "The Council of Ministers voted two weeks ago on the financial aspect of the law, so the work committee has been working to properly ripen the law, and it will be voted on in the next session."
Arab pointed out that "the law will be the umbrella for unifying the work of the irregular sectors, as a pension will be allocated for each worker," stressing that "there is governmental and parliamentary support to legislate the law as quickly as possible."
A member of the Parliamentary Labor and Social Affairs Committee, Nasik Mahdi Al-Zanki, confirmed in a previous interview with Al-Maalouma Agency, the continuation of the legislation of the retirement and social security law for workers. End / 25 h
