Today, Monday, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Shakhwan Abdullah, met with a delegation from the Iraqi Mukhtars Assembly to discuss amending the Mukhtars’ Law and discuss ways to develop their work.
A statement by the Media Office of the House of Representatives, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Shakhwan Abdullah, met with a delegation from the Iraqi Mukhtars from various provinces."
He added, "The meeting was held to discuss the amendment of the Mukhtars Law No. (13) of 2011, and to discuss ways to develop the work of the mukhtars to carry out their role and responsibilities, and to continue cooperation with state institutions to secure stability in the country."[/size]
