The Ministry of Transport is working to activate transit agreements with more than 70 countries, including neighboring countries, while it has addressed the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers for the purpose of reducing fuel prices for its trucks.
The Director General of the Ministry's General Company for Land Transport, Mortada Karim Al-Shahmani, said in an interview with the official newspaper, followed by "Al-Iqtisad News", that the Ministry seeks to activate all international agreements that would expand the movement of land transport, in a way that facilitates the passage of trucks at the border crossings according to the mechanism of international transport. Transit to more than 70 countries, including neighboring countries.
He pointed out the importance of these agreements in increasing the movement of trucks and the volume of trade exchange.
