    On Friday, the Investigation Department of the Integrity Commission announced that it had monitored cases of waste and damage to public money in the Amarah Municipality Directorate, and an exaggeration in purchasing prices in the police command in Maysan Governorate.
    In a statement received by the department, the department stated, "The team of the Maysan Investigation Office, which moved to the Amarah Municipality Directorate, was able to seize the collection priorities and receipts for two parking spaces belonging to the municipality, following the occurrence of waste and damage to public money amounting to more than one billion.” Dinar".
    And she indicated that "the municipality's director has collected amounts for the exploitation of the two squares located in the city of Amarah - Tigris Street, for the period from 2020 until now, despite the absence of a lease contract or legal document that allows it to collect money from the property after the end of the contract and receipt of the rent.”
    The department added that it "monitored, in a separate operation, fake offers to buy police dogs by the Maysan Police Command," noting that "the procurement committees in the command bought unfit dogs at exaggerated prices according to fake offers from a company that has no address in the governorate."
    And she confirmed that "the disbursement of the purchase amounts took place in violation of the instructions for implementing the federal budget for the year 2019," noting that "two fundamental arrest reports were organized and presented to the specialized investigating judge in Maysan, who decided to conduct an investigation in them in accordance with the provisions of Article (340) of the Penal Code.” Ended 25 / y
