    [size=45]Today, Thursday (December 22, 2022), the Investigation Department of the Integrity Commission in Basra announced the implementation of four operations to control cases of waste and damage to public money in the Investment Commission, the Health Department and the University of Basra, while noting that the completion rate of the hospital is zero% and at a cost of more than 8 billion dinars in Basra.[/size]
    [size=45]And a statement of the department, which was seen by Zakros Arabia, stated: “The work team of the Basra Investigation Directorate, which moved to the Governorate Investment Commission, was able, after investigation, audit and follow-up, to set the priorities for the contract for the construction of a general hospital, due to the presence of reluctance in it,” noting that “the percentage of completion in the project, which amounted to its cost (8,064,000,000) dinars, it was (0%), after the reluctance of the company to which the project was referred.[/size]
    [size=45]He added, "The team, which moved to Basra Teaching Hospital, seized a vision correction device (LASIK) that has been unemployed since 2019, as a result of not being equipped with gas canisters."[/size]
    [size=45]And he continued, “The device contributes to enhancing the financial revenues of the Health Department in the governorate, and that its cessation of work for a period of four years led to a waste of public money amounting to (2,160,000,000) dinars,” noting that “the device contributes to alleviating the financial burdens of patients and provides services in exchange for A sum of money not exceeding (100,000) dinars, while the cost of revision in private hospitals ranges between (1,500,000-2,000,000) dinars.[/size]
    [size=45]In a separate operation, he indicated that “(13) unemployed ambulances were monitored in the Basra Health Department - Immediate Aid Division for more than three years, and they have not been maintained until now, despite the many correspondences addressed to the Health Department.”[/size]
    [size=45]And at the University of Basra - Directorate of Dar al-Kutub, the statement confirmed that “the department was able to seize a printer device worth (687,000,000) dinars,” pointing out that “the directorate received the device in 2005, and it was not used until the time the operation was carried out, which led to its disappearance and the loss of Damage to public money, explaining that “a printer device that was purchased as spare parts was seized, while it was later found to be unemployed.”[/size]
