Baghdad / Obelisk Al-Hadath: The President of the Republic, Dr. Abd al-Latif Jamal Rashid, received, in Baghdad, the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani.
During the meeting, the political, security, economic and environmental conditions in the country were discussed, and the need to support the government's efforts in implementing its program was emphasized in accordance with the priorities of consolidating security and stability, meeting the needs of citizens, and achieving sustainable development.
They also discussed preparations for holding provincial elections at the end of this year, the importance of Iraqi participation in this democratic practice, and work to ensure its transparency and integrity.
The Presidents of the Republic and the Council of Ministers discussed border security, where emphasis was placed on preventing encroachments on Iraqi lands and national sovereignty, in addition to the water crisis in the country and its repercussions on the lives of citizens.
The meeting reviewed the latest developments and developments at the regional and international levels and the role of Iraq in converging views and enhancing security and peace among the countries of the region
