Today, Monday, the Minister of Agriculture, Abbas Jabr al-Maliki, instructed the release of funds for compensation for the loss of poverty to the agricultural directorates to distribute them among farmers in the governorates of Najaf al-Ashraf, Diwaniyah, and Muthanna.
The Ministry of Agriculture stated, in a statement received by Al-Iqtisad News, that “Minister of Agriculture Abbas Jabr Al-Maliki instructed the release of the cash compensation funds amounting to 136 billion dinars to the agricultural directorates to disburse them to farmers and peasants in the governorates of Najaf Al-Ashraf, Diwaniyah and Al-Muthanna.”
Al-Maliki said, according to the statement: “Through the efforts he made with the Ministry of Finance and his meeting with Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, today, these funds were transferred from the Ministry of Finance to the account of the Ministry of Agriculture,” noting that “the Ministry of Agriculture, under his guidance, immediately began These funds will be released to the agricultural directorates in the included governorates, so that they can distribute them as quickly as possible among the farmers and farmers covered by the compensation.”
The minister explained, "Great efforts were made by him and the advanced staff in the ministry, and the interaction of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani and Minister of Finance Taif Sami, in a way that contributed to the peasants and farmers obtaining their rights that had been suspended for a long time."
