    [size=45]Yesterday, Tuesday, the Election Commission announced the preliminary results of the governorate council elections that took place on Monday, December 18, 2023.[/size]
    [size=45]The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, Omar Ahmed, said in a press conference that “the announced results represent 94.4 of the total results,” indicating that the Commission “fulfilled the implementation of the constitutional entitlement to hold provincial council elections.”[/size]
    [size=45]The National Progress Alliance topped the election results in the capital, Baghdad, with 132,719 votes, while the Nebnai Alliance came in with 131,869, and the State of Law Coalition came in third with 130,468 votes.[/size]
    [size=45]In the results of Wasit Governorate, the “Wasit Ajmal” list received the highest votes, with more than 93,000 votes, while the State of Law coalition came in second place and the Nebnai Alliance came in third place, with more than 31,000 votes each.[/size]
