    Baghdad today - Baghdad 
    The coordination framework confirmed today, Sunday (February 25, 2024), that the Prime Minister follows up and monitors the work and performance of all local governments in all governorates.
    The representative for the framework, Salem Al-Anbaki, said in an interview with “Baghdad Al-Youm,” that “Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani follows and monitors the work and performance of all local governments, and will have a special evaluation of the work of all governors after a few months.”
    Al-Anbuki stated, “Local governments are an important and essential element for implementing the government program, especially related to services. For this reason, Al-Sudani is following the work of those governments and governors, in order to implement his government program without any obstruction or procrastination in all governorates.”
    On Monday (February 5, 2024), the leader in the coordination framework, Aed Al-Hilali, revealed the role of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani in naming some governors, indicating that he “asked the political forces to choose figures who would support him in implementing his program.”
    Al-Hilali told "Baghdad Today", "Al-Sudani did not interfere in nominating governors and other positions in any of the local governments. He refused to run his party in the local elections and refused any interference in the issue of forming local governments and choosing any of the candidates."
    He added, "Al-Sudani asked all political forces to choose competent and honest figures for important and senior positions in all local governments in order to be able to support the central government in implementing its government program, especially related to improving services."
