Member of the Parliamentary Agriculture and Water Committee, Ibtisam Al-Hilali, revealed on Saturday that Iraq will soon import more than 5,000 modern sprinkler systems to develop the agricultural sector in Iraq.
Al-Hilali said in a statement received by Al-Maalouma, “The Parliamentary Agriculture and Water Committee hosted the Minister of Agriculture, Abbas Al-Maliki, to discuss a number of important topics to support and develop the agricultural sector in Iraq, and discussed with him the contract concluded between the ministry and the Austrian company Bauer for the manufacture of sprayers, which amounted to $300 million.” ".
She noted, “The contract stipulates that Iraq will be equipped with 5,400 mobile pivot sprinkler systems to support farmers at subsidized prices.” End 25
