The representative of the coordination framework, Muhammad Saadoun, confirmed on Tuesday that the government is proceeding with the project to remove American forces from Iraq, and to transform the relationship in accordance with the agreements concluded between Baghdad and Washington in various fields and not limit it to the security field only.
Saadoun told Al-Maalouma, “The government is working to schedule the exit of American forces from Iraq, and this represents the most prominent projects it is working on at the present time, especially since the House of Representatives has clear and explicit decisions regarding ending the presence of coalition forces inside Iraq.”
He added, "The government continues dialogues with the international coalition with the aim of ending its presence in Iraq, at a time when the country has not received any signal from the aforementioned forces regarding their refusal to leave Iraq."
He stated that "there is an actual move to end the foreign presence, with a desire to continue economic relations and implement the strategic agreement with regard to the exchange of experiences and cooperation in various fields, and not to limit the relationship to the security field." Ended 25 n
