[rtl]The Directorate of Civil Status, Passports and Residence, affiliated with the Ministry of Interior, announced today, Monday, the implementation of the electronic payment system and the complete cessation of cash.[/rtl]
[rtl]A statement by the directorate received by Al-Iqtisad News stated that, “In implementation of the directives of the Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, and under the supervision of the Director General, Major General Nashat Ibrahim Al-Khafaji, it was decided to fully operate with the electronic payment system (pos) only and to stop receiving cash payments permanently.”[/rtl]
[rtl]He added, "The above decision is effective from the first of next May," noting that "the directorate's departments are fully equipped with electronic payment devices."[/rtl]
[rtl]He stated, "This step comes to keep pace with development and facilitate procedures for citizens."[/rtl]
