The Kurdistan Democratic Party demanded international supervision of the Kurdistan region's elections scheduled for next June.
Party member, Mahdi Abdel Karim, said in a televised interview, followed by Mawazine News, that “the two Kurdish parties have not reached a final rift, and that there are dialogues that will begin between them following Nechirvan Barzani’s visit to Iran, which will solve many problems.”
He added: "Minorities cannot be deprived of participating in the Kurdistan elections."
He continued: "Our party has no objection to the elections, and we demand international supervision of the Kurdistan elections."
