Today, Saturday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani launched the fifth licensing supplement rounds and the sixth licensing round.
The Prime Minister said during his speech at the ceremony announcing the licensing round, “Today represents the end of great efforts made by the Ministry of Oil and the beginning of a greater effort and more opportunities that will be reflected in every joint of the national economy,” pointing out that “the government program includes a new policy that rises in the revolution.” He devoted a wide scope to the government’s vision for oil and gas investment.”
He added, "Iraq is a difficult number in the energy equation in Al-Aal," noting that "the government will proceed with integrated oil projects."
He pointed out that "the path to development is Iraq's great project," stressing that "the government has set a goal of transferring 40 percent of oil production to manufacturing industries within 10 years."
