    Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi stressed the need to follow up and address any emerging problematic about the dinar exchange rate against the dollar in the domestic market, and with the crisis cell has agreed to a proposal to delete the central bank added to the amounts of remittances, confirmed the need to adhere to the oil agreement with Erbil.

    Economists attributed, in the (16 June 2015), the high dollar exchange rate against the dinar to the floundering economic policy, and the neglect of the productive sector, while the Parliamentary Finance Committee confirmed that the concerned state has taken action to support the value of the dinar, which increase the width of the dollar in the market Package and acceptance of all purchase orders submitted by traders and banking companies and banks, and the abolition of tax deposit and customs that were collected in advance by eight percent.

    And it saw the dollar exchange rate steady rise in the local markets, from about 1200 dinars to the dollar, the beginning of the current 2015 to 1400 dinars currently.

    So now they will drop the ratio of cash in the remittance  process from 10% to 8% and up electronic remittances conversely to 92%. It has a familiar ring to it.....

    lol who da thunk it ..? took one day for them to see da light lol!   guess it was just a wild eyed thing dat unless you heard it direct from me you would say i never knew ! more accurant then you moght guess ey?

     as you noticed in the reports today The exchange rate of the dinar in the secondary market is returning to a much closer alignment with the cbi rate. this change will speed the process up.

    I agree, I think the IMF requires the up-and-down rate to be 2+ from the CBI rate and the market rate for 90 days before a country can revalue its currency.  DOES ANYONE HAVE A DIFFERENT THOUGHT?

    Hi Weslin, this "whole" dinar business is just crazy.  This is my understanding.  The IMF has rules about currencies and how they are regulated.  In Iraq's situation, the dinar is under an artificial program rate (1 10th of a US penny) that it was placed at when we went into Iraq and "took over" - the IMF placed the dinar under the program rate and the CBI has to meet certain criteria before the dinar can be considered international currency - traded on the Forex and recognized by the countries and their banking institutions.  It is my understanding that the difference between the CBI rate and the rate in the market, that difference can't differ up or down from the CBI rate any more than 2+% or 2-% a day for 90 days in a row.  If the dinar holds that rate for 90 days, the IMF will consider the dinar stable and allow a revaluation.  Again, this is my understanding.  Hope this helps.
