Member of the Parliamentary Crisis Cell, MP Ghaida Kambash, affirmed on Monday that 50,000 civilians will enter their homes in a humanitarian crisis starting next month.
Kampash stated, “Many appeals from private sector workers in various professions speak of fears of entering a humanitarian crisis at the beginning of next April if the green light is not given to reopen banking offices and private banks to receive their salaries and financial dues and transfer funds between governorates.”
"And according to available numbers, about 50,000 civilians working in the private sector depend on their salaries, which are received through remittances and private banks," Kampash added.
The Crisis Cell, formed by Diwani Order 55, called for the necessity of setting timelines in order to avoid another humanitarian crisis, especially since most families depend on their monthly salaries in keeping with their humanitarian conditions.
