MP Najiba Najib: determining the price of spectrum will help in bridging the fiscal deficit

Baghdad INA / confirmed a member of the investment committee of parliamentary Najiba Najib said the decision of the Iraqi Media Authority determine the spectrum price for TV channels will contribute to cover the government's financial deficit.
He told the "official Iraqi News Agency" on Thursday, that the amounts to be collected from the satellite will return eventually to the state budget, stressing that all the steps followed by the government in the imposition of duties and taxes on imported goods and satellite television and even on domestic production comes because of the deficit financial and must be activated those laws to protect citizens and the product.
She pointed out that "all civilized countries of the world are following this system to control the indiscriminate opening of satellite channels, especially since most of them have become politicized in Iraq and belonging to the party or political bloc.
