[ltr]Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Governor of Baghdad province, Ali al-Timimi described the Iraqi tribes as “Safety for Iraq that neglect sectarianism and fight extremism.”[/ltr]

[ltr]In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, he said while attending an inauguration of the assembly of Bani Timim’s tribe “The Iraqi tribes are in harmony with each other hundred of years ago regardless their Sunni and Shiite sects,” noting that “The colonization used the meanest means to create partition among them, but it failed and this assembly that gathers all the tribes of Baghdad is an evidence of its failure.”[/ltr]

[ltr]“This assembly calls for optimism and neglecting sectarianism in addition to fighting extremism brought from outside of Iraq by foreign agendas to target the unity of the Iraqis,” he concluded.[/ltr]
